Jul 25, 2018 Update
Greetings from all of us at the Pearl Foundation.
Sorry it has been a while since you heard from us.
e have been hoping and praying for a peaceful resolution to the civil unrest in Nicaragua but unfortunately it has not happened.
We are pleased and happy to report that the ministry work of The Pearl Foundation is continuing to thrive.
As you can imagine we have experienced increased numbers in our daily feeding program as well as families being supplied with much needed food. We are purchasing rice, beans, oil, etc. in bulk quantities and distributing to the families in need. Every week we are receiving request for food from more and more families. Thanks to our generous supporters we are meeting the needs.
When we built the activity building last year we hoped it would benefit the local community in many ways. This past Friday Pastor Juan held a special service with over 200 in attendance. Jesse said it was a wonderful service with several praying to receive Christ. We have included pictures of the service as well as pictures from the feeding program.
Linda and I are agonizing over not being in Nicaragua with our team. This is the first summer in the past seven years we have been stateside. We forgot how hot and humid it can be in South Carolina. It seems every time we start planning to return more killings occur. Please pray for a peaceful resolution to this conflict and for the violence to end.
We thank you for your continued prayers and support. You play a vital role in the work in Nicaragua.
