It is with heavy hearts and tearful eyes that we share the passing of our beloved co-founder and executive director, Darrell Hinson. After a brief illness, he has found eternal rest in the arms of Jesus. Though our hearts are shattered, we also come together to celebrate the remarkable life of a man who touched countless souls.

 

As a devoted husband, loving father, inspiring mentor, and cherished friend, Darrell's impact reached far beyond borders. His influence extended not only across the United States but also left an indelible mark in Nicaragua that will continue on. Through his unwavering dedication, he touched the lives of thousands, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and kindness.

 

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." These words from 2 Timothy 4:7-8 perfectly encapsulate Darrell's journey. His life was a testament to resilience, commitment, and faithfulness. As we mourn his departure, we find solace in the belief that he has earned the crown of righteousness promised by the Lord.

 

Let us come together as a community to honor and remember Darrell, drawing strength from the love he poured into the world.

 

May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory continue to inspire us all.
